• Great Time at ‘Ohana!

This place was a total surprise! We were actually at another place on the edge of the island when Willie the bartender suggested we visit Ohana’s in the city. This was a great recommendation!. Off the beaten path in Cozumel, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the owner Angie (Willie’s sister) and Matt! The served up a wonderful jungle juice, great music, clean comfortable atmosphere, and wonderful authentic Mexican food..which is hard to come by at an all inclusive where we were staying. We heard wonderful Island stories from Matt and lots of info about how to truly experience Cozumel. Totally recommend getting off the beaten path and stopping by to say hi to Matt and Angie! We will be back!

  • Best Coconut Shrimp on the Island

As repeaters to Cozumel we are always keen to check out new places and ‘Ohana didn’t disappoint. Great hosts, great food, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The bar is great if you just want to hang out for a few beers or sitting in the garden listening to a good band and we really enjoyed the drum and dance group in the street in the run up to the Carnival.

  • Don’t Miss It!

Fabulous coconut shrimp and the sauce was to die for! Very clean and well decorated place with room at the bar or tables, inside and out. Friendly staff (bartender can’t be beat!) Great underwater videos and stories of Cozumel history from Matt, the bartender. It’s right downtown and you shouldn’t miss it. We want to go again on a night when they have live music (Thursday, Friday and Saturday I think) It is on our list of places to go in Cozumel for sure!

  • Excellent Coconut Shrimp with Entertainment

Off the beaten path of Rafael Melgar but well worth the effort to find it. Great location under theopen air. The specialty of the house is coconut shrimp and the large portion will melt in your mouth. We were there on a Saturday night about 9:00pm and they had a guitarist and singer who were very entertaining, ended up staying way past dinner. The guitarist billed himself as the “Mexican Mick Jagger” and he was very talented. I would highly recommend it.

  • A New Culinary Gem in Cozumel

The list of great Cozumel restaurants keeps growning and ‘OHANA is no exception to the rule. ‘Ohana means Family in Hawaiian, and this is truly a family run business.
The house specialty Coconut Shrimp was given high notes by my wife and I had one of the best Garlic Fish I have ever had! Two thumbs up for the food and the great laid back atmosphere! nice cool jazzy live music on the weekend to boot! When in Coz, head up to the north end of 5th Ave., and have a good time!
